The moment your child walks through the doors of Fishtoft Academy, they will become part of a supportive community which starts their journey of a lifetime. Every child is offered the best and in return is expected to give their best. We encourage the children in our care to believe that anything and everything is possible.

Along with high academic standards, the school places great emphasis on nurturing kind, honest and compassionate citizens. These qualities are reflected in our HEART values – that underpin the School’s curriculum and what will encourage children to take responsibility for their actions and to work collaboratively as part of a whole school community.

We encourage our children to develop the life skills to become confident, caring citizens, who can play a positive and active role in modern society. It helps our children to be in charge of the choices they make and supports  them to  understand that they are accountable for their own destiny.

Our culture of “All different, Everyone Welcome” based on the No Outsiders approach, ensures our inclusive learning environment teaches all of our children to celebrate their differences, help and respect one another and promotes  tolerance and mutual respect-  ultimately developing a sense of ambition and self-esteem in every individual.

Whilst independence is both encouraged and celebrated we pride ourselves on the cooperation and the collaboration between children, parents, staff and community. Through our family-orientated approach, our aim is to work with parents and the community to instil a sense of confidence and self-belief in the children, so that when they leave us and take the next step in their education they will continue to reach their potential.
