On Friday 26th January a team of Year 5 and 6 children went to Tollfield for an Indoor Athletics Tournament.
The children had a fantastic day and came 3rd overall.
As part of the Starfish class new topic, ‘Moon Zoom’ we had a slumber party in school to allow us to think about bedtime and the routines that we have. We all wore our pyjamas, brought in our favourite teddies and shared bedtime stories and songs. We also learnt about the importance of brushing our teeth. We enjoyed wearing our pyjamas in school but the other classes gave us some funny looks!
We ended our Christmas term with a celebration assembly at the local church. Many parents and carers came to see the children perform in various ways. The Starfish class shared their ‘Wriggly Nativity, while the Dolphin class performed the well-known poem, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’. The Sharks made us think about all the lovely food that we eat, (and sometimes waste), over the Christmas festivity time.
All of the children were a credit to the school and we were pleased to end a busy term with a Christmas celebration amongst family and friends.
