Easter Service

End of term Easter Service at Church

We were delighted to have our end of term celebration assembly at the local church. Many parents and carers came to watch the children from each class dance, sing and tell Easter stories and parables. All the children were extremely confident and performed brilliantly.

Easter Bonnets

Easter Bonnets

The Starfish class (and their parents) had been very busy at home making fantastic Easter bonnets for the children to wear into school on the last day of term. All the bonnets looked amazing and the difficult job of judging the winning designs was given to Mrs Baxter who took a while to choose the winners!

Well done, Starfish – you all looked brilliant!

Showcasing our work

Showcasing our work

Throughout the school a lot of effort goes into creating colourful, inviting learning environments. Each classroom showcases the fantastic work that our children do and we are keen to show off their talents as often as possible. These are some of the displays that were seen in the Spring term.

New Meal Provider

After half term on 5th June 2017, school lunches will be provided by Staniland Academy rather than Willoughby Foods.

The decision was made to change provider in order to ensure the food is fresher on arrival as it will be cooked mid-morning and delivered to our school just before lunch time, rather than sitting on a van and being dropped off as part of a delivery round. Therefore, the meals provided to our children will be as freshly cooked as possible.

Staniland Academy is part of the BWAF Family of schools; they already have a large kitchen and have been cooking meals since 2014 for the children that attend Staniland and Carlton Road Academy. As well as being experienced school meal providers; they are also based nearer to our school.

Ordering and paying for meals will not change, Parent Pay will still be used. Although we will need you to place your orders slightly earlier than you have previously in order to ensure they can be processed within the amount of time needed, (further information will follow about this).

There will still be a daily choice of a wide range of meals, however daily puddings do not have to be ordered. If your child does not like the daily pudding, they may choose fruit or yoghurt on the day instead.

Any further questions please do not hesitate in contacting us.
